Facilities
State of the Art purpose built arena
Kamada Park has been developed with breaking in in mind. A state of the art large sand roll and purpose built sand arena are essential in the early education of the young horses.
Crusher dust lane ways that loop around the farm also allow for your horse to get education in a variety of places.
Newly installed 800m sand training track with electric starting gates to further your horses’ education towards race day.
Agistment
Kamada Park offers a range of agistment options to suit your needs
Whether it be your broodmare, weanling, spelling racehorse or horses recuperating from an injury. Your horse can relax in either a rubber lined stable, small yard or large paddock depending on their needs. All our paddocks are fenced with the safest horse-friendly Magnum fencing and the farm is set up so horses will always be able to see others so as not to be stressed or feel alone.
Rehabilitation & Recovery
Available in liaison with your vet
• 10 boxes of various sizes allows for successful rehabilitation and recovery of your horses injury
• 12 covered Sand Yards
• Grass yards of various sizes
• 6 bay walker on site to assist with rehabilitation program’s developed by your vet
Horse Education
Use our on site walker to prepare your horses for their early return to the stable
• Breaking in, all horses are broken in under the instruction of Bruce Herd ensuring correct education from the beginning. A large sand roll, arena and crusher dust lane ways allow for your horse to get education in a variety of places.
• Ready to Run preparation, we are now offering preparation of Ready to Run horses. You can be confident that your horse is getting proper education from the start and continuing all the way through to the sale.
• Pre-training
• 6 bay horse walker to prepare your horse for its return to the stables
• Young horse handling is encouraged, bring your young one before or after weaning to get a great head start to their future
Medical & Surgery
Newly installed minor surgery clinic.
Designed by leading equine vets, this facility provides our clients with the opportunity to have minor surgeries performed whilst their horses are in our care for minimal disturbance to their training or spelling. Very popular for doing closed castrations as the recovery time is a lot quicker and the risk of infection is greatly reduced (compared to open castrations in the paddock).
